Chicks
This term we have been learning about mythical creatures. In our mantle story, dosbarth Gwyn and Gwyrdd received a parcel labelled 'Fragile!' The learners (Mythical Creature Scientists) were asked to investigate what was in the parcel and take great care of it.
To the learner's amazement, there were eggs. They decided to research what could be in the eggs. Could it have been unicorns, snakes, crocodiles, ducks, chicks or dinosaurs?
Gwyn and Gwyrdd placed the eggs into an incubator to see what would happen.
Excitingly, after 21 days we were lucky enough to have 10 beautiful chicks.
Gwyn and Gwyrdd learners made booklets for their new owners to ensure they look after the chicks. We will keep you updated with their progress.
Colomendy
Our Year 6 pupils had so much fun on our residential trip to Colomendy! They got to try sleeping in a safari tent, caving, archery, problem solving, buggy building, the leap of faith and toasting marshmallows at an evening campfire.
Bikeability
Our Year 6 pupils got the opportunity to learn some safe cycling skills and build their confidence on a bike.
Welsh mountain zoo
Reception - Year 2 had so much fun at the Zoo. They got to see lots of amazing animals and take part in a mythical creatures/endangered animals workshop.
Gardening
Our gardening group has been very busy tidying up the planting beds, making snail houses, planting, making bird boxes and flower seed bombs, decorating bird boxes and pulling some very funny faces after trying rhubarb!
